- **What is Tradie Forms?** - Tradie Forms helps Australian tradies fill in forms online and download finished PDFs. It is built around compliance forms, daily job paperwork, and customer-facing documents.
- **Which forms are available now?** - The public library has 69 templates across national telecommunications and electrical, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, and WA forms. See [Form guides](https://dev.tradieforms.com.au/docs/form-guides) for the current list and section help.
- **Do I need an account?** - You can fill and preview public templates without signing in. You need an account to download PDFs, save details, use cloud drafts, and access paid features.
- **How does autosave work?** - Guest and Free forms save on this browser only. Local drafts can appear on **Overview** and **Drafts** on the same device for up to 7 days. Paid plan cloud drafts save to your active workspace while cloud autosave is enabled.
- **How many PDFs can I download on Free?** - Free signed-in accounts include **3 PDF downloads per calendar month**. New downloads and regenerations from completed records both count. Preview is unlimited.
- **What is the difference between Solo and Team?** - **Solo** is for one person and adds unlimited downloads, cloud drafts, full completed history, saved details prefill, presets, Fill with AI, lookups, Licence check, PDF tools download, and integrations.
  
  **Team** adds a shared business workspace, 4 included members, shared drafts and library items, Fill with AI for members, team integrations, and PDF audit trail (full history).
- **What are saved details?** - Saved details are named snapshots of a form section: business and licence blocks you reuse across forms, plus catalogues like work type on the forms that support them. Free users can save. Prefilling on a new form needs a paid plan.
- **What are presets?** - Presets are full-form snapshots for one template. They are useful when many jobs start from the same baseline. Presets are a paid feature.
- **How do Jobs work on Free?** - Turn on Jobs in Settings, then turn on Auto-create job on complete if you want finished standalone forms grouped automatically. Free can view up to 3 active auto-created jobs. Paid plans can create jobs themselves and manage forms, steps, and job details without an active-job limit.
- **How does Fill with AI work?** - On a paid plan, **Fill with AI** opens a chat panel on supported forms. Describe the job, paste notes, attach a photo, or use voice dictation. The assistant can fill supported fields and apply saved details when you ask, but you must review the form and PDF preview before download.
- **Can I use address, ABN, or licence search?** - Paid users can use smart lookups where a template supports them. They can also use **Licence check** under Tools for supported public registers. Free users can still type details manually.
- **Can I connect ServiceM8, Fergus, or Xero?** - Yes. ServiceM8, Fergus, and Xero are available on a paid plan. Use the link icon Import from connection beside a field to pull in one value, or use the import bar to map fields once and import a whole job, contact, or project. Each connection can also attach completed PDFs to the linked job or contact when PDF upload is enabled.
- **Does Tradie Forms lodge official forms for me?** - No. Direct lodgement is not currently available. Tradie Forms helps you prepare and download the PDF. You are responsible for checking it and lodging, emailing, or handing it over through the correct process.
- **Can I share a completed PDF or request a signature?** - Yes, on a paid plan. Create a time-limited share link for a completed PDF, or send a link for someone to sign an empty signature field on a cloud-saved draft. You can add a password and revoke the link whenever needed. - **Can I request a template?** - Yes. Use **Request a template** from Templates, New form, or Support. You can suggest a shared public template or ask for a private template for your business.
- **Can I install Tradie Forms on my phone?** - Yes. Add it to your home screen so it opens like an app icon. Use Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android. See [Install the app](https://dev.tradieforms.com.au/docs/features/install-the-app) for the full steps.
